Can one use PureVision extended-wear contact lenses and still remove it every night?
PureVision’s extended wear lenses are actually cheaper than the current ones I use (12hr wear). Taking my lenses out every night and the cleaning routine is not a problem for me normally. When I travel tho, it’s quite inconvenient, specially when backpacking. So, is it possible to use PureVision’s lenses but keep the daily routine of taking it out and storing it overnight? Can those lenses offer the best of both worlds? I use renu no rub multipurpose solution – are EW lenses made differently in such a way that it’s better to be kept on the eye rather than in solution overnight? Thanks.

Hellooo, I want contact lenses, and at my eye doctor’s office, they charge $100 something for the eye contacts.. I already have my eye examine this year, so I was wondering wouldn’t it be better and cheaper if I used my prescription and go to some store like Costco, or something to buy the contact lenses there? If it is a better idea, can you give me a brand of contacts that is good?

Ordering Acuvue and Bausch and Lomb trial contact lenses?

Every year I go to the same optometrist (due to good priced eye tests and products) and when it comes to ordering trial lenses he says yes to ordering me the Bausch and Lomb (Softlens 66 Torics) like I have been wearing for 8 years, but when I go to pick them up he had ordered me Acuvue ones instead and plays dumb! This same thing happens now for 3 years in a row, why?!!! I then have to wait one more week for the Bausch and Lomb ones to arrive. The Acuvue ones never work well for me. He says the Acuvue ones are made with better materials, but I know eyes are the fastest when it comes to healing and my eyes feel just fine. Are they cheaper to order or something? This is sooo getting annoying… Frickin heck I tell you!!

I was thinking about getting contact lenses, but I have a few questions?
1. I heard that their are over 200 brands to choose from, whats the difference. I am only going to be wearing them when I go out to a bar or somewhere nice, for the rest of the time Im going to stick to my glasses.
2. Can everyone where contact lenses even if my prescription is really strong.
3. Whats the difference between the expensive brands and the cheap brands.
4. How much should I expect to pay for contacts, I also have it covered by VSP insurance.
5. What brand would you recommend me getting, like I said, I am going to be wearing them very seldomly.

Okay. 2 questions: Are Toric lenses the same as “for astigmatism”? Where is cheap?
I’m trying to help my fiancee find new contacts, as his old ones were lost in our move. He got a prescription- and now i’m searching online for the cheapest price. One needs to be plain Acuvue, the right eye however needs Toric lenses. What are toric lenses? They are very expensive- is there a less expensive option out there? are “toric” lenses the same as “for astigmatism”? I’m sorry if the question sounds idiotic, but I have never dealt with this before. Last question is- where are the cheapest contacts online for small quantities? We only have enough money for a 1 year qty- and the month by month contacts are the best. We don’t want to deal with day to day ones. He is legally blind in one eye, so this is kind of necessary and quick…. thanks for the help everyone!!!

I’m thinking of asking my dad to buy a new bottle back in the Philippines. My one is still half full but I’m thinking it might be cheaper to get it there than here in New Zealand.

I just went to a new eye doctor for the first time. I need an update on my contact lenses, so she wrote me a new prescription, but says that it is her “office policy” that I purchase the first six months worth of lenses from her office. For years, I have purchased my lenses from 1-800-CONTACTS, which I feel is the cheapest option, and I would like to continue doing so.
Is she allowed to do this, or am I being scammed?

please give me a price range too. i heard you have to get an eye exam first. and what if i have 20/20 vision?
i also heard that walmart can give you an eye exam and let you try some on for a cheaper price than other places.
also, should i get the ones that you throw away or do they have ones that you can use for a long time?
which one gives a better deal in the long run?
